By God’s grace, Gospel Partners Movement Ministry was started in Sahibgarj District in Jarkhand State, as soon as GPM was established on December 7, 1999. Mr Kali Shankar Das and his family were baptized in his native village. When he felt that he was called to the ministry, he was sent to YAVATMAL COLLEGE FOR LEADERSHIP TRAINING (Y.C.L.T), YAVATMAL for his Theological Training.
When he completed the Theological Training, Kali Shankar Das and his family were based in Chandana, a village in Godda District. They started their ministry in 2006. By our Lord’s help, the ministry gathered momentum. Though there were oppositions from the local people at times, the ministry grew rapidly and steadily. At present, we have over 1200 believers from Santal and Pahadia people groups. There are 10 congregations in the Field and 3 permanent church buildings and 3 temporary church buildings have been constructed. Two church buildings are under construction. 2 missionary families and 6 evangelists, including a lady evangelist from Pahadia tribe carry on the Gospel ministry in this area. Two more evangelists have joined us since August 2014. We thank and praise our Lord for the establishment and development of GPM ministry in Jarkhand Field.
