Gospel Partners Movement ministry in the Northern Zone commenced soon after GPM was formed. Our pioneer Missionaries Rev John Balasingh and his wife Dhanesh Balasingh were stationed at Fatehabad in Haryana State. Since then the ministry has grown in that part of Haryana State and the bordering Punjab State. The ministry in this area has been very difficult due to the work of the evil spirits. By God’s grace, a school going boy was delivered from evil spirit on the day that his parents came to know about our Lord. Realizing the need for prayer, the Missionaries spent much time on their knees and there was steady growth.
Fatehabad being a border town in Haryana State, required a Hindi speaking Missionary. But the neighboring Punjab villages needed the services of a Punjabi speaking Missionary. God in His wisdom, enabled Rev. John Balasingh and Mrs. Dhanesh Balasing to communicate the Gospel in these two languages.
The ministry grew slowly but steadily by visits to the nearby villages. Within three years there were 125 baptized believers, 10 congregations in two fields. The steady growth of the ministry like the leaven, by 2009 resulted in 359 baptised believers in 18 congregations.
In 2007 the need for a Church building in Fathehabad was felt. In October, a land was was bought and foundation stone was laid on 22nd February, 2009 by the CNI Bishop in Delhi, the Rt. Rev Sunil Kumar Singh. The Lord miraculously provided the needed money and on 3rd November, 2010St. Peter’s Church, Fathehabad was dedicated by the Rt. Rev. Sunil Kumar Singh. 16 believers were confirmed on 21st April, 2013 by the Rt. Rev. Sunil Kumar Singh.
Recognizing the need for a quarters for the Missionaries, a believer gifted 15,000 bricks. So the construction work was started September, 2013. The two roomed quarters was completed within two months. Praise the Lord.
Our Missionary couple and one Local Evangelist and one Native Missionary work in that area to nurture the 856 believers in 18 congregations coming from 8 people groups. The Lord is doing great things. It is marvelous in our sight.
